Iran’s Supreme Leader on Sinwar’s Martyrdom: Resistance Will Continue

Tehran – Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has issued a strong statement following the martyrdom of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, emphasizing that the ‘axis of resistance’ will not be weakened by his death. In his message, Ayatollah Khamenei expressed deep sorrow over the loss, calling it a painful event but affirming that Hamas remains strong and determined in its mission.

Khamenei praised Yahya Sinwar as a “shining face of resistance and struggle” who stood resilient against an “oppressive and aggressive enemy.” He highlighted Sinwar’s key role in delivering significant blows to the enemy, particularly during the October 17 attacks, describing his contributions as irreparable losses for their adversaries.

Despite the death of influential figures like Sinwar, Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated that the “axis of resistance” — a term referring to the coalition of groups opposing Israel in the region — will persist in its efforts. He affirmed Iran’s unwavering support for the “sincere fighters and resistance fighters,” underscoring the continued momentum of their struggle against oppression.
