Jaranwala Police Encounter Exposed as Fake, 3 Constables Suspended
A disturbing incident occurred in the Jaranwala area of Yasalabad, where elite force personnel opened fire on two innocent youths, Ali Kamran and Ghulam Dastgir, injuring them. The youths were returning to their village from Mehfil Milad with friends when police officers in a private vehicle signaled them to stop. When they didn’t comply, the police fired at them. To make matters worse, the elite force officials attempted to cover up the incident by registering a false police encounter case.
However, after protests from the relatives of the injured youths, SP Jardanwala launched an inquiry into the incident and found the policemen guilty. As a result, constables Naveed, Arshad, and Tariq have been suspended ¹. The police are conducting further investigations, and legal action will be taken against the personnel involved.
This incident raises concerns about police brutality and the misuse of power. The Elite Police Force, established in 1998, is trained to handle high-risk situations, but it’s crucial to ensure that their actions align with the law and protect citizens’ rights ¹. The swift action taken by SP Jardanwala is commendable, and it’s essential to hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
