Faisalabad Ready for Champions Cup: Top Coaches Share Expectations
With just three days to go before the inaugural Champions Cup, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi made a visit to Faisalabad to meet with the mentors of the five participating teams. The tournament, featuring the Wolves, Stalnese, Lions, Dolphins, and Panthers, promises to be a thrilling competition that will showcase the best of Pakistani cricket.
During the meeting, Naqvi consulted with the esteemed mentors, including Misbah-ul-Haq (Wolves), Shoaib Malik (Stalnese), Waqar Younis (Lions), Sarfaraz Ahmed (Dolphins), and Saqlain Mushtaq (Panthers). The mentors praised the Champions Cup as a vital tournament for domestic cricket and offered valuable suggestions for improving the pitches and ground conditions at the Iqbal Stadium.
Naqvi assured the mentors that the PCB would work to enhance the quality of the pitches and ground, ensuring equal practice opportunities for all players. He also instructed the Director of Domestic Cricket and Director of High Performance to provide top-notch gym facilities for the players.
The Champions Cup is poised to uncover new talent, providing a platform for players to shine and potentially secure spots in the national team. Naqvi emphasized the significance of the tournament in building the Pakistan cricket brand, urging the mentors to take responsibility for its success.
