Ukraine Loses Over 40% of Kursk Region to Counter-Attacks

KYIV, Nov 23 — Ukraine has reportedly lost more than 40% of its hold on Russia’s Kursk region, according to a senior military source in Kyiv. The General Staff official confirmed that Ukraine’s control over the region has dwindled from 1,376 square kilometers at the start of its incursion in August to just 800 square kilometers now.

The source also revealed that most of the North Korean troops sent to support Russian forces in Kursk are still undergoing training, rather than actively participating in frontline operations.

Meanwhile, Russian forces have made a threatening advance towards the strategic town of Kurakhove in eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk region, further escalating tensions in the area.

Ukraine has been intensifying efforts to disrupt Russian supply lines, conducting strikes deep inside Russia itself. The use of Western-supplied missiles, now with fewer restrictions, has been key to these operations, as Kyiv seeks to weaken Russia’s logistical capabilities and slow the momentum of its military advance.
