UAE’s First Miss Universe: Emilia Dobreva Breaks Barriers as a Mom of Three

For the first time in history, the UAE will be represented at the Miss Universe competition. Emilia Dobreva, a model and mother of three, was crowned Miss Universe UAE in October after a private closed-door audition. She is now set to represent the country at the prestigious global event.

Emilia, who has lived in the UAE for over a decade, is married to an Emirati man and speaks Arabic. Poppy Capella, the newly appointed national director for the UAE by the Miss Universe Organization, praised Emilia as the perfect choice for the title. “She is beautiful, smart, and embodies the values of the UAE,” Capella said.

At the Miss Universe competition, Emilia will wear a stunning national costume, an abaya, as a tribute to the UAE’s rich culture and heritage.
