Two Women Allegedly Tortured at Liaquatabad Women’s Police Station in Karachi

Karachi, Pakistan: Two women have reportedly been called to the Women’s Police Station in Karachi’s Liaquatabad area, where they were allegedly tortured. According to Express News, one of the victims, Kiran Naz, released a video message detailing the incident, claiming that the police station had become a “house of punishment.”

She explained that she and her daughter were summoned to the police station, where they were locked in a cell for several hours and subjected to violence. The victim claimed that a group of young men entered their home, held them hostage, and assaulted them, leaving their necks and hands bloodied.

Kiran Naz further alleged that these young men, with the help of police officers at the Liaquatabad Women’s Police Station, called them to the station. Instead of addressing their concerns, they were locked in a cell. She said that they were detained unlawfully for hours, during which they were stripped and tortured.

The victim compared their treatment to that of “prisoners of war” and appealed to higher authorities for justice, calling for action to be taken against the accused and those involved in the incident.
