Two Dead, 36 Injured in Rawalpindi-Bound Bus Accident in Upper Kohistan

A bus accident in Upper Kohistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has left two people dead and 36 others injured. The passenger bus, traveling from Skardu to Rawalpindi, fell into a ravine near the Shetial area on Sunday evening.

The victims include the bus driver, Sadaqat Hussain, and a passenger named Mohammad Nadeem. Most of the injured passengers are from Skardu, with others from Bisham Dandai in Shangla and parts of Punjab. They have been taken to the district headquarters hospital in Chilas, where some are in critical condition and undergoing surgery.

Accidents like this are common in the region due to poor road conditions, overloaded vehicles, and the challenging terrain.
