Trump Appoints Loyal Allies to Key Positions, Sparking National Concern Over Inexperience and Institutional Impact

The recently elected U.S. President Donald Trump has nominated several of his loyal allies to key positions, sparking national concerns due to their relatively limited experience. These appointments include Mike Johnson as Speaker of the House, Matt Gaetz as Attorney General, Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence, and Sergio Gor as Director of the Office of Presidential Personnel.

Mike Johnson, a lawyer and Louisiana politician known for his strong stance against same-sex marriage, will serve as the Speaker of the House. Similarly, the nomination of 42-year-old Congressman Matt Gaetz as Attorney General has raised eyebrows, given his lack of prosecutorial experience and his history with controversial views. Tulsi Gabbard, a former Democrat who has criticized U.S. military interventions and expressed sympathy toward Russian viewpoints on Ukraine, has been chosen as Director of National Intelligence despite her minimal background in intelligence.

Additionally, Trump’s close attorney Todd Blanche may be nominated as Deputy Attorney General, while Sergio Gor, a longtime ally who managed Trump’s Super PAC during the election, has been named Director of the Office of Presidential Personnel. This role is expected to play a pivotal part in hiring loyal Trump supporters throughout the administration.

Experts are concerned that these appointments indicate Trump’s intent to reshape key American institutions during his second term, with potential implications for U.S. governance and institutional integrity.
