Tourist Boat Sinks Near Egypt’s Marsa Alam, Search Operations Underway
Cairo, November 25, 2024 – A boat carrying 31 tourists sank off the coast of Marsa Alam, located on the western shore of the Red Sea, local media reported on Monday.
Red Sea Governor Major General Amr Hanafy confirmed that several tourists have been rescued from the water near the Marsa Alam coast. Search and rescue operations are ongoing to locate and save the remaining passengers. Authorities have not yet provided details on the cause of the incident or the conditions of the rescued individuals. (Reuters)
