Shiv Sena MLA’s Shocking Remark: ₹11 Lakh Reward to Chop Off Rahul Gandhi’s Tongue
A firestorm of criticism has engulfed Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad after he offered a ₹11 lakh reward to anyone who would “chop off” the tongue of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Gaikwad’s inflammatory statement, made in response to Gandhi’s alleged comments on ending India’s reservation system, has been widely condemned by Congress leaders and disavowed by the BJP.
Gandhi has since clarified that his remarks were misrepresented, emphasizing his support for the reservation system. Nevertheless, Gaikwad’s incendiary comments have sparked outrage, with Congress leaders denouncing them as “deadly and poisonous” and demanding strict action against the MLA.
BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule has distanced himself from Gaikwad’s remarks, stating that he does not support or endorse such statements. The incident has highlighted the increasingly heated rhetoric in Indian politics, raising concerns about the erosion of civil discourse.
