Russia Warns of Strong Retaliation if Ukraine Uses ATACMS Missiles Against Its Territory

Russia has issued a grave warning in response to reports that the United States has authorized Ukraine to use long-range ATACMS missiles against Russian territory. A spokesperson for Russia’s Foreign Ministry said on Monday that if Ukraine fires these missiles into Russia, Moscow will take “appropriate and tangible” retaliatory actions.

The statement emphasized that such a move would mark a significant escalation in the conflict, representing the direct involvement of the United States and its allies in hostilities against Russia. The spokesperson argued that the use of ATACMS missiles by Ukraine would “radically change the essence and nature of the conflict,” and Moscow would not tolerate this level of aggression.

“Kyiv’s use of long-range missiles to attack our territory would represent the direct involvement of the United States and its satellites in hostilities against Russia,” the statement read. “Russia’s response in such a case will be appropriate and tangible.”
