Russia Announces Return of 46 Citizens From Ukraine After August Capture
MOSCOW, Nov 22 – Russia confirmed on Friday that Ukraine had returned 46 Russian citizens who were taken into Ukrainian custody after Ukrainian forces captured part of Russia’s western Kursk region in August.
Kursk regional governor Alexei Smirnov shared the news on his Telegram channel, noting that “painstaking and lengthy negotiations” had led to the successful return of the citizens. Smirnov assured that the returnees were receiving all necessary assistance.
