Robbers Steal Weapons and Vehicle from Policemen Near Shikarpur; Three Officers Suspended

Shikarpur: In a startling incident near Shikarpur, armed robbers overpowered police officers and made off with a vehicle loaded with weapons. According to SSP Jacobabad, Saddam Khaskheli, the officers were on their way to the Larkana Forensic Laboratory for a weapons inspection when they were ambushed. The robbers seized the vehicle, which contained 138 nine mm pistols, 276 magazines, and bullets.

The incident led to the suspension and arrest of three police officers, including a sub-inspector, as a case has been registered against them for negligence. The vehicle in question had initially been seized during an operation in October, during which two suspects were arrested.

Sindh Home Minister Zia Linjar has expressed concern over the security lapse and demanded a detailed report from the SSP Jacobabad on how the robbers managed to escape with the vehicle and arms. Investigations are currently underway.
