Reece Topley Fined for Breaking Chair After Injury

England bowler Reece Topley has been fined 15% of his match fee for smashing a chair in frustration after getting injured during the first T20I against the West Indies in Barbados.

Topley hurt his right knee while bowling in the match and left the field after trying to continue. He didn’t return to play. This injury adds to his long history of injuries in his career.

After leaving the field, Topley was seen angrily breaking a chair. It was a similar reaction to an incident during the 2023 World Cup when he broke a chair after injuring his finger.

Topley has been fined and given one demerit point for damaging equipment. If he gets four or more points in 24 months, he could face a suspension. This was his first offence within that period.
