Putin: “Struggle for a New World Order Underway” After Trump Win
SOCHI, Russia, Nov 7 (Reuters) – Russian President Vladimir Putin condemned the United States on Thursday, accusing it of trying to strategically defeat Russia in Ukraine. He also claimed that a “struggle” was underway to reshape the global order, marking the decline of the Western-dominated post-Cold War era.
Speaking to the Valdai discussion club in Sochi, Putin made the remarks a day after learning that Donald Trump had won the U.S. presidential election. He said, “We have come to a dangerous line,” hinting at the shifting dynamics of global power and influence.
