Punjab Successfully Tests Artificial Rain Technology
Pakistan :Punjab has successfully tested a local artificial rain technology, making a big step forward in science. The test, called “cloud seeding,” resulted in rainfall in Jhelum and Gujar Khan. Experts also predict that this could bring rain to Lahore as well.
The test was carried out on Thursday at 2 PM, and just a few hours later, rain started in Jhelum and Gujar Khan. This technology is expected to help reduce smog in the region.
The project was a team effort involving Pakistan’s Armed Forces Scientific and Technological Development experts (SPD), Army Aviation, PARCO, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Punjab government.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif praised everyone involved, saying, “Today, thanks to your hard work and expertise, Punjab has made history, and the entire nation is proud of you.”
Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb also congratulated the team, pointing out that while the UAE had helped with a similar project last year, this successful experiment was done entirely with local technology and expertise.
This marks an important achievement for Punjab, showing its growing ability to tackle environmental challenges.
