Punjab Govt Announces Closure of All Educational Institutions; Section 144 Imposed for Two Days

Lahore, October 17 – In a significant move, the Punjab government has ordered the closure of all public and private educational institutions across the province. According to the official notification, all schools, colleges, and universities will remain closed on Friday, October 18.

Additionally, the government has imposed Section 144 for two days, starting from Friday, October 18 to Saturday, October 19, across Punjab. The enforcement of Section 144 prohibits all public gatherings, protests, and processions during this period to ensure public order and safety.

This decision comes amid rising concerns over maintaining law and order, with officials urging the public to comply with the restrictions. Authorities have warned of strict action against violators.
