Princess Rajwa and Queen Rania Visit Amman Art Gallery
Dubai, November 25, 2024 – Princess Rajwa Al-Hussein, the Saudi-born Jordanian royal, made her first joint public appearance with her mother-in-law, Queen Rania, at the Naqsh Collective art gallery in Amman on Sunday. The royal duo visited the gallery, which showcases local craftsmanship and design, as part of their growing public engagements.
Queen Rania’s team shared a post on Instagram after the visit, describing it as a wonderful experience, saying, “Exquisite local designs, handcrafted with love. Had a lovely time with Rajwa at the Naqsh Collective workshop yesterday.” The two royals posed in front of an artwork titled “Wall Runner,” which is part of the gallery’s collection.
Naqsh Collective, founded in 2009 by sisters Nisreen and Nermeen Abudail, has been a key player in promoting local design talent. The gallery has featured its works in international design events, including Milan Design Week, Amman Design Week, Design Days Dubai, and Saudi Design Week.
This marks another notable public appearance for Princess Rajwa, who recently returned to the spotlight after the birth of her first child, Princess Iman, earlier this summer. Last week, she also attended the inaugural session of Jordan’s 20th parliament in Amman, making it her second public appearance since the birth.
For the parliamentary ceremony, Princess Rajwa wore an elegant black ensemble, highlighted by an oversized belt from Dior and pumps from Chloe, paired with a Goji mini bag by Jill Sander. She was photographed alongside Queen Rania, who opted for a striking red outfit from Maison Valentino and Altuzarra.
Princess Rajwa’s royal duties are continuing to unfold as she adjusts to her new role. The royal welcomed her first child, Princess Iman bint Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II, with Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah on August 3. King Abdullah of Jordan also shared a heartfelt tribute to his granddaughter on social media, celebrating her arrival.
Princess Rajwa, who celebrated her 30th birthday in April, is the daughter of the late Saudi businessman Khalid bin Musaed Al-Saif and Azza bint Nayef Al-Sudairi.
