Powerful Storm Strikes Washington State, Causing Deaths and Widespread Disruptions
A fierce storm battered Washington state on Wednesday, leaving hundreds of thousands without power and causing significant disruptions to road travel. The storm has been linked to at least two fatalities and two injuries.
In Lynnwood, north of Seattle, a woman was killed when a tree fell on a homeless encampment. A second woman died near Seattle when a tree crashed onto her home. Additionally, two people were injured in Maple Valley when a tree fell on their trailer.
Authorities continue to assess the damage, and efforts are underway to restore power and clear debris.
