Pentagon Leaker Jack Teixeira Faces 17 Years in Prison
BOSTON, Nov 12 – Jack Teixeira, the 22-year-old U.S. Air National Guard member who leaked classified military documents, is facing nearly 17 years in prison.
Teixeira admitted to leaking sensitive information, including details about Russia’s war in Ukraine, and will be sentenced by a federal judge in Boston. Prosecutors have called his actions one of the biggest breaches of U.S. national security in history.
Teixeira’s defense is asking for a lighter sentence, but prosecutors argue for a lengthy prison term due to the seriousness of the leak. His sentencing will highlight the consequences of revealing classified information.
