Pakistan Blocks Passports of 4,000 Nationals Detained in Saudi Arabia

The Pakistani government has blocked the passports of 4,000 Pakistani nationals imprisoned in Saudi Arabia. These individuals were reportedly arrested for begging and involvement in other crimes. According to reports, their passports have been blocked for a period of seven years, with most detainees hailing from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces.

Authorities are issuing emergency travel documents to facilitate their return to Pakistan, with deportation operations expected to begin soon. Upon arrival, legal action will be taken against these individuals.

Earlier this month, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) intercepted a flight at Multan Airport, removing eight suspected beggars disguised as Umrah pilgrims from a flight bound for Saudi Arabia.
