Netflix Resumes Service After 6-Hour Outage Amid High Demand for Tyson-Paul Fight

Nov 16 – Netflix (NFLX.O) was back online on Saturday after a six-hour outage that disrupted service for users across the United States. The streaming platform, which faced a surge in demand as viewers tuned in for the highly anticipated boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, experienced a technical issue beginning Friday evening.

According to Downdetector.com, which tracks service outages, the issue affected many users, with over 90,000 reports of problems at the peak of the outage. By 5 a.m. ET (1000 GMT), fewer than 100 users were still reporting issues accessing Netflix.

The timing of the outage was notable, as many viewers were eager to watch the boxing match, in which Jake Paul defeated Mike Tyson.
