Netanyahu Administration Cracks Down on Iranian Spying Network in Israel

Seven Israelis Arrested for Allegedly Spying for Iran, Including Soldier and Minors

Tel Aviv: In a significant national security breach, the Israeli government has arrested seven Jewish residents on charges of providing Iran with sensitive military information. According to Israeli media, those detained include a soldier and two minors from Haifa.

The arrested individuals are accused of carrying out numerous operations for Iranian intelligence, gathering crucial images and information about several Israeli military installations. These include the Kriya Defense Headquarters, Navatim Air Base, Ramat David Air Base, and various Iron Dome battery sites. Notably, Ramat David was previously targeted by Hezbollah in missile strikes.

Additionally, the suspects are alleged to have obtained maps of strategic military locations from their Iranian handlers, including the Golani base, which was recently destroyed in a drone strike. During their interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to working with Iranian intelligence for the past two years and maintaining ongoing communication with Iranian agents.

The Israeli authorities have not disclosed further details regarding the specifics of the operations or the motivations behind the suspects’ actions, but the arrests underscore ongoing concerns about espionage and security threats facing the nation.
