Mushfiqur Rahim Out of Afghanistan ODIs Due to Finger Injury
Bangladesh’s wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim will miss the rest of the ODI series against Afghanistan after injuring his finger during the first match. He fractured the tip of his left index finger while keeping wickets.
Mushfiqur will not play in the second and third ODIs, and Bangladesh has not named a replacement. Jaker Ali is expected to take over wicketkeeping duties for the rest of the series.
The injury also puts his availability for Bangladesh’s upcoming tour of the West Indies in doubt, where they will play two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is starting later this month.
