Muhammad Asif Receives Hero’s Welcome in Faisalabad After Winning Third World Snooker Title
Faisalabad, Pakistan -Muhammad Asif, the World Snooker Champion, received a warm and grand welcome in his hometown of Faisalabad after winning his third World Snooker Championship title. Thousands of fans gathered to cheer him as he was driven through the streets in a horse-drawn carriage, celebrating his victory with music and dancing.
In his home area of Kohrabad, people danced to the beat of dhol drums and handed out sweets in joy. The entire community joined in the celebrations to honor Asif’s achievement.
During a press conference, Asif shared his happiness and pride in winning the title for Pakistan. He said, “I was determined to win, and I’m proud to bring this third title home for my country.” He thanked his supporters and expressed his appreciation for their encouragement.
Asif also called for more support from the government for athletes. He said it’s important for the authorities to help players achieve their dreams. He reminded the government about the promise made after his previous win to build a snooker academy, a project that has not yet been completed. “I hope the government will build an academy for snooker players to help young talent,” he said.
Asif’s victory brought pride to the nation, and he encouraged young people to stay focused on their goals. “I will keep playing for Pakistan, no matter what,” he said.
