Man Declared Dead in India Comes Back to Life Before Cremation, Three Doctors Suspended

JAIPUR, Nov 22 – In a shocking incident in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district, a 25-year-old deaf and mute man, who was mistakenly declared dead by doctors, suddenly regained consciousness just before his body was about to be cremated. The incident has sparked widespread concern, leading to the suspension of three doctors involved in the case.

The man, identified as Rohitash Kumar, resides in a shelter home and has no known family. His health deteriorated on Thursday, and he was admitted to BDK Hospital for treatment. After his condition worsened, doctors declared him dead at 2 AM and placed his body in the morgue.

According to reports, the police prepared a report and sent the body to the mortuary. However, just as his body was placed on the funeral pyre, Kumar miraculously started breathing again. He was immediately rushed back to the hospital, where his condition was found to be stable, and he is now under treatment in the intensive care unit.

The incident has raised serious concerns about the level of care provided by medical staff. Following the mistake, the three doctors involved—Dr. Yogesh Jakhad, Dr. Nuneet Meel, and Dr. Sandeep—were suspended for their negligence. District Collector Ramavatar Meena confirmed that a committee has been formed to investigate the matter, and the Medical Department Secretary has been informed as well.

This incident highlights the importance of thorough examination and proper medical procedures, particularly in critical situations, to avoid such life-threatening errors. The ongoing investigation will determine the extent of the negligence and any further actions that may be taken.
