“Malaysian Sikh Delegation Carries ‘Aman Ka Deep’ to Spread Light of Peace Across Borders”
Wagah Border, Pakistan- In a symbolic gesture to promote interfaith harmony, peace, and love, Sikh pilgrims from Malaysia have embarked on a spiritual journey, carrying a “Aman ka Deep” from Pakistan to India. The initiative, led by Sardar Baldev Singh and a three-member delegation, began at Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur and included a stop at the sacred Gurdwara Janm Asthan in Nankana Sahib, where the lamp was lit.
This “Aman Ka Deep,” representing a transition from darkness to light, aims to spread a global message of peace, religious tolerance, and unity. Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, President of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and Punjab Minister for Minority Affairs, emphasized that the lamp symbolizes peace not only between Pakistan and India but also between all religions. The lamp will travel through various countries before reaching Malaysia, spreading the message of love and humanity along its journey.
This initiative is seen as a beacon of hope, highlighting the importance of fostering mutual respect across faiths and borders in an increasingly divided world.
