Little Hope in Gaza as ICC Arrest Warrants Fail to Slow Israeli Strikes

CAIRO/GAZA, Nov 22 – Residents of Gaza have expressed little hope that the recent International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrants issued for Israeli leaders will halt the ongoing Israeli military onslaught, as new airstrikes continue to claim lives.

Medics reported that at least 21 people were killed in fresh Israeli attacks on Gaza. In Gaza City’s northern Shejaia neighborhood, an Israeli strike on a house killed eight people. Another three people were killed near a bakery, while a fisherman was fatally struck as he set out to sea. In the central and southern parts of Gaza, nine more casualties were reported from three separate airstrikes.

The relentless violence, which has claimed thousands of lives in the region, shows little sign of abating despite international calls for justice and accountability. The ICC’s arrest warrants, while significant, have not provided the respite many had hoped for, leaving Gazans to endure further suffering amid the conflict.
