Israeli Strikes Kill 12 in Gaza as Arrests Made Over Flares Fired at Netanyahu’s Home

TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — Israeli airstrikes overnight on the Gaza Strip killed at least 12 people, according to Palestinian medical officials, adding to the rising toll of the ongoing conflict. The strikes targeted sites across the enclave, while tensions also flared on the Israeli home front.

In a separate incident, Israeli police arrested three suspects after flares were fired at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s private residence in the coastal city of Caesarea. No one was injured in the attack, and Netanyahu and his family were not at home at the time. This follows a similar attack last month, when a drone strike by Hezbollah also targeted the residence, again when the Prime Minister’s family was absent.

The escalation in Israel’s internal security comes amid broader regional tensions, particularly with Hezbollah, which has been engaged in clashes with Israeli forces along the Lebanese border.

The situation in Gaza and Lebanon remains dire, with international calls for ceasefire proposals gaining traction as the conflict spreads across multiple fronts.
