Israeli Attack on Syria’s Palmyra Kills 36, Wounds Over 50: Syrian State Media
An Israeli airstrike on Syria’s historic city of Palmyra on Wednesday has killed at least 36 people and left more than 50 others wounded, according to Syrian state media.
The attack, which struck residential buildings and an industrial zone, occurred around 1:30 p.m. local time, with the Israeli military declining to comment on the strike. The Syrian news agency SANA reported that the airstrike originated from the direction of the al-Tanf area in southeastern Syria, exacerbating the already dire situation in the region.
