Israeli Airstrikes on Lebanon’s Baalbek Kill Six, Including Three Children

November 16, 2024: Israeli airstrikes on the village of Khreibeh in Lebanon’s Baalbek District have killed six people, including three children, and wounded 11 others, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry. The ministry reported that five of the injured were children, with two in critical condition.

The airstrikes, which took place on Saturday, also hit two medical teams in southern Lebanon earlier in the day. Two medics were killed—one in Borj Rahal and the other in Kfartebnit—while four other rescue workers were injured, and two are still missing.

The strikes come amid ongoing tensions between Israel and groups in Lebanon, particularly along the Israel-Lebanon border, as the wider Middle East conflict continues to escalate. The situation remains tense, with further casualties expected as the violence spreads.
