Hungary to Install Air Defence System Near Ukraine Border
Hungary has announced plans to install an air defence system in its northeastern region, citing an increased threat of escalation from the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict. Hungary’s Defence Minister emphasized that the risk of further escalation is “greater than ever” following recent developments.
The move comes after Russian President Vladimir Putin lowered the threshold for a nuclear strike in response to Ukraine’s use of U.S. missiles to strike deep within Russian territory. This escalation has raised concerns across Europe about the security situation in the region.
