Hezbollah Drone Targets Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Caesarea Home
The spokesperson for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed today that his private residence in Caesarea, northern Israel, was targeted in a drone attack. While the building was struck, no casualties were reported, as Netanyahu and his wife were not at home at the time of the incident.
The Israeli military reported earlier today that three drones were launched from Lebanon toward the coastal city of Caesarea on Saturday morning. According to the military, two of the drones were successfully intercepted and destroyed by Israel’s air defense systems, while the third drone hit a building. At the time, the specific location of the attack was not confirmed.
Witnesses in the area reported hearing explosions in the vicinity of Netanyahu’s residence. However, despite the damage caused by the drone strike, Israeli ambulance and police services have confirmed that there were no injuries.
The attack on the Prime Minister’s residence marks an unprecedented level of aggression from Hezbollah, potentially leading to heightened military operations. Israeli officials have not yet commented on their response, but analysts are speculating that the country may take swift retaliatory action, particularly against Hezbollah positions in Lebanon.
