Explosion in Multan: 3-Storey Building Collapses, 4 Dead, 2 Injured

Multan – A tragic incident unfolded near Delhi Gate, Hazarian, Multan, when a three-storey building collapsed following a powerful explosion, resulting in the deaths of four individuals and leaving two others seriously injured. The explosion, which occurred on Saturday, has shocked the local community.

According to initial investigations, the building housed a small fireworks manufacturing setup, which is believed to be the cause of the explosion. Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud bang moments before the structure crumbled into ruins. Rescue teams rushed to the scene and worked tirelessly to search for survivors under the debris.

Local sources revealed that the building, which measured 5.1 marla, was being used by its owner for the production of fireworks, raising concerns about safety violations in residential areas. Rescue officials and law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the explosion and the circumstances surrounding the incident.

IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has taken notice of the incident and requested a detailed report from the Regional Police Officer (RPO) of Multan. Authorities have cordoned off the area, and efforts are ongoing to ensure the safety of nearby buildings.
