England Clinch T20I Series with Three-Wicket Win Over West Indies in St Lucia

England sealed a 3-0 lead in their five-match T20I series against the West Indies with a three-wicket victory in the third match at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground in St Lucia. West Indies set a modest target of 146 after being reduced to 37 for 5 early on. Saqib Mahmood (3-17) and Jofra Archer bowled brilliantly during the powerplay, leaving the hosts struggling. However, a resilient 73-run partnership between Rovman Powell (54) and Romario Shepherd (30) helped West Indies recover, but they were still limited to 145 for 8, thanks to Jamie Overton’s three wickets for 20 runs.

England’s chase was rocky, with Akeal Hosein’s 4 for 22 keeping West Indies in the game. However, Sam Curran’s 41 off 26 balls and a key knock of 39 from Liam Livingstone, despite being dropped three times, steered England towards the target. Livingstone’s luck with dropped chances helped him play a crucial role before being dismissed. Rehan Ahmed then hit the winning runs, taking England across the line at 149 for 7, securing the series with two matches still to play.
