Egypt and Russia Call for Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon
Abu Dhabi, UAE – Egypt and Russia have jointly emphasized the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon amidst ongoing violence in the region. Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met on the sidelines of the three-day Sir Bani Yas Forum in the UAE, where they discussed the escalating conflict.
In a statement, Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted that both ministers agreed on the necessity for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon. They also called for the unconditional flow of humanitarian aid to affected areas, stressing the importance of providing assistance to those in need during this critical time.
The discussions come as the humanitarian situation in Gaza and southern Lebanon continues to deteriorate, with calls from the international community for de-escalation and greater access for aid delivery.
