Dubai’s Traffic Flow to Improve Significantly with Upcoming Construction of Five New Bridges
Dubai, UAE — The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced on Sunday a significant infrastructure project involving the construction of five new bridges over the Trade Centre Roundabout. This initiative aims to enhance traffic flow and improve connectivity in one of Dubai’s busiest areas.
The new bridges will collectively span over 5,000 meters and will facilitate direct connections between Sheikh Zayed Road and five main streets: Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street, Sheikh Rashid Street, 2nd December Street, Zabeel Palace Street, and Al Mustaqbal Street. By providing additional routes, the project seeks to reduce congestion at the roundabout, which is a critical junction for both local and commuter traffic.
RTA officials highlighted that the project aligns with the city’s vision to improve transportation infrastructure and support Dubai’s growing population. The construction is expected to enhance safety and efficiency for drivers and pedestrians alike.
The RTA plans to begin construction soon, with a completion timeline set to ensure minimal disruption to traffic during the work. Regular updates will be provided to keep the public informed about progress and any necessary detours.
This project is part of a broader strategy to modernize Dubai’s transportation network, which includes various upgrades to roads, bridges, and public transit systems.
