Death Sentence for Acid Attack Convict in Sahiwal: Justice Served for Brutal Crime

Sahiwal, Pakistan -In a landmark ruling, an Anti-Terrorism Court in Punjab’s Sahiwal district has sentenced a man to death for the horrific acid attack that claimed the life of a woman earlier this year. The convict, Shaukat, was also fined 500,000 Pakistani Rupees.

The chilling incident took place on April 25, 2023, when Shaukat threw acid on the woman, resulting in her tragic death. The case was brought forward by the victim’s husband, who filed a complaint at the Khubala Police Station in Pakpattan.

Judge Ziaullah Khan, who presided over the case, issued a stern sentence, sending a strong message that such acts of violence will not be tolerated. This verdict marks a significant step towards justice for victims of acid attacks, a crime that continues to devastate lives across Pakistan.
