Deadly Blast at Quetta Railway Station: 28 Killed, Over 60 Injured
A tragic explosion at Quetta Railway Station has claimed the lives of 28 people and injured over 60 others. The blast occurred on the platform as the Jaffar Express was preparing to depart, causing chaos and panic among those present.
Rescue teams immediately transported the injured to Civil Hospital Quetta, where several are reported to be in critical condition. An emergency has been declared at the hospital, with additional medical staff called in to provide urgent care to the wounded.
Following the explosion, police and security forces quickly secured the area, while bomb disposal teams are collecting evidence to determine the cause of the blast. According to railway officials, two trains were scheduled to depart from Quetta today—the Chaman Passenger and the Jaffar Express. Both trains had passengers on the platform at the time of the incident.
