Cristiano Ronaldo played a pivotal role as Al-Nassr cruised to a 5-1 victory over Al-Ain in the AFC Champions League on Tuesday, securing their third-place spot in the group.
The match saw Al-Nassr take an early lead with a stunning goal in the 5th minute, and Ronaldo added a second after a rebound from a long-range shot by Sadio Mane. The team continued to dominate, with Angelo’s cross deflecting into the net to make it 3-0 before halftime.
Al-Ain fought back briefly with a goal early in the second half, but missed chances from Abdoul Traore sealed their defeat. Ronaldo’s teammates, Wesley and Talisca, added two more goals, with Talisca securing a brace to cap off a perfect performance for Al-Nassr.
This win keeps Al-Nassr in the hunt as one of Saudi Arabia’s strongest contenders in the tournament.
