COURT GRANTS PROTECTIVE BAIL TO DANISH IQBAL, HUSBAND OF KARACHI CAR ACCIDENT ACCUSED

In a significant development, the Sindh High Court has approved a 7-day protective bail for Danish Iqbal, the husband of Natasha, who is accused of running over five people with her car in Karachi on August 19.

Iqbal’s lawyer, Amir Mansoor Qureshi, argued that his client had no involvement in the accident and was being unfairly implicated under Section 114. The court accepted the plea and granted Iqbal protective bail against a bond of Rs 50,000, ordering him to surrender in the concerned court within seven days.

The move comes as a relief for Iqbal, who had expressed fears of arrest despite his claimed innocence. With his wife Natasha already behind bars, Iqbal’s legal team had sought the protective bail to prevent his potential detention.

The case has sparked widespread outrage and raised questions about accountability and justice in Pakistan’s legal system. As the investigation continues, the court’s decision to grant Iqbal protective bail will be closely watched by observers and the public alike.
