China and Indonesia Strengthen Ties with $10 Billion Deals on New Energy and Biotechnology
Agreements Cover Food, Energy, Technology, and Biotechnology Sectors
BEIJING, Nov 10 (Reuters) — China and Indonesia have sealed deals worth $10 billion at the Indonesia-China Business Forum in Beijing on Sunday. The agreements span multiple sectors, including food, new energy, technology, and biotechnology, according to Chinese state media.
The forum took place after a meeting on Saturday between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, who is visiting China for the first time since taking office last month. This marks Prabowo’s first overseas trip since becoming president of Indonesia. The agreements signal growing economic cooperation between the two countries, particularly in green energy and technology.
