Center for Countering Digital Hate Leaves X Over Terms of Service Changes
Nov 14– The Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) announced on Thursday that it will be leaving X, the social media platform owned by Elon Musk. The nonprofit cited concerns that upcoming changes to the platform’s terms of service could limit its ability to succeed in future legal battles.
This marks the latest chapter in the ongoing conflict between Musk and CCDH, which has criticized him for allowing the spread of hate speech on the platform, formerly known as Twitter. Earlier this week, the British news publisher The Guardian also stated it would stop posting on X due to “disturbing content” being shared on the platform. (By Reuters)
