“PTI Protest is Not Just About Imran Khan, It’s a Fight for True Freedom” – Bushra Bibi’s First Video Message
In a video message released on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) YouTube channel, Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, urged the entire nation to join the protest on November 24, emphasizing that this is not just Imran Khan’s fight, but a battle for the country’s real freedom. She appealed to every section of society to participate, saying that success would only be achieved if everyone took part in the protest.
Bushra Bibi also mentioned that Imran Khan had invited judges and lawyers to join the protest and come to Islamabad on November 24, as he is currently incarcerated for standing up for the rule of law. She stated that while some have speculated that the protest date might change, she confirmed that the protest on November 24 will not be altered unless it is in the case of Imran Khan’s release.
She further called on the police and other institutions to allow peaceful protests, urging them not to oppress peaceful demonstrators. She emphasized that the PTI leadership does not intend to seek revenge, stressing that Imran Khan, during his time in jail, has learned to keep the doors of forgiveness open.
Bushra Bibi also dismissed claims that Imran Khan had called for jihad, clarifying that the workers’ hearts were moved to take up the cause naturally. She explained that everything, including their efforts, is in Allah’s hands.
In a statement, she referenced past accusations against Imran Khan, where he was labeled as a Jewish agent after taking steps towards an Islamic system in Pakistan. Bushra Bibi insisted these statements were false and urged the public to inquire directly from the former army chief and his family if they wished to know the truth behind such accusations.
