Biden Administration to Continue Support for Ukraine’s Defense, Says Blinken

KYIV, Nov 13 – U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Wednesday that the Biden administration will continue to send aid to Ukraine to help it defend itself against Russia. The U.S. wants to ensure Ukraine can keep fighting in 2025 and be strong in any future peace talks.

Blinken explained that President Biden has committed to using all available funds to support Ukraine until January 20, when President-elect Donald Trump takes office. He stressed that NATO countries need to provide Ukraine with money, weapons, and support to keep fighting effectively.

The U.S. will also send new military equipment to Ukraine, although Blinken did not provide details. The war in Ukraine shows no signs of ending soon, with Russia continuing its attacks on Ukrainian cities.

On Wednesday, Russia launched missile and drone attacks on Kyiv, marking the first time in over two months. The Ukrainian military successfully shot down most of the missiles and drones, but officials are still assessing the damage.

In addition, the Pentagon reported that North Korean soldiers sent to assist Russia are fighting in the Kursk region, which borders Ukraine. Ukraine has made gains in this area, and Russia has sent around 50,000 troops to try to push them back.

The war in Ukraine remains uncertain, with continued support from the U.S. and NATO critical for Ukraine’s defense. The outcome of the war could change depending on future U.S. policies, especially if Trump becomes president and alters the current approach.
