Baba Guru Nanak’s 555th Birth Anniversary Celebrations Begin in Hassan Abdal

The 555th birthday celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak have begun in Hassan Abdal, Pakistan. Over 2,500 Sikh pilgrims from India have arrived at Gurdwara Panja Sahib to participate in the festivities. Pilgrims from Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom are also attending the event.

The pilgrims were brought to Hassan Abdal under tight security, with buses arranged to ensure their safe travel. Local officials, including Deputy Commissioner Attock, DPO, and Assistant Commissioner Arif Qureshi, welcomed the visitors upon their arrival.

To ensure the safety of the large number of Sikh yatris, more than 1,000 police officers and security personnel have been deployed in the area. These measures are in place to ensure a smooth and peaceful celebration for all participants.

Meanwhile, the three-day celebrations for Baba Guru Nanak’s birthday at Nankana Sahib, his birthplace, ended with a “Nagar Kirtan” procession. The procession started at Gurdwara Kiara Sahib and ended at Gurdwara Janam Asthan, marking the conclusion of events there.

The celebrations in Hassan Abdal will continue with prayers, processions, and other religious activities to honor the life and teachings of Baba Guru Nanak.
