Ayla Majid Becomes First Pakistani President of ACCA in 120-Year History

Historic moment as Ayla Majid becomes the first person from Pakistan to hold this position in ACCA’s 120-year history. She is the founder and CEO of Planetive Middle East and Planetive Pakistan, based in Islamabad, specializing in decarbonization, sustainability, and energy solutions.

As President, Ayla Majid will lead ACCA’s global network of over 252,500 members and 526,000 future members across 180 countries. Her election coincides with ACCA reaching the milestone of over a quarter-million members and celebrating its 120th anniversary this year.

In her statement, Ayla expressed her commitment to working on themes such as “the future of accounting, strategic perspectives, and stakeholder behavior” in the coming months. She emphasized that the accountancy profession is dynamic and ever-evolving, and she aims to promote it as an exciting, meaningful, and attractive career choice.
