ZHUHAI, CHINA — A car crashed into a crowd of people exercising outside a stadium in Zhuhai, China, on Monday, killing at least 35 and injuring 43 others. Many of the victims were elderly or children.
The driver, a 62-year-old man named Fan, reportedly drove his SUV into the group on purpose. Police described the incident as a “serious and vicious attack.” Fan tried to escape but was arrested after being found in a coma from self-inflicted injuries.
