DHL Cargo Plane Crash Near Vilnius Airport Kills One, Injures Two
Vilnius, November 25, 2024 – A DHL cargo plane crashed near Vilnius Airport in Lithuania early Monday morning, resulting in one fatality and two injuries. The crash occurred around 0330 GMT, according to airport, police, and fire officials.
The aircraft, operated by SWIFT airline on behalf of DHL, was en route from Leipzig when it fell onto a house near the airport. Fortunately, all individuals inside the house survived the incident, as confirmed by a spokesperson for Lithuania’s National Crisis Management Center.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, with authorities working to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
