Hezbollah Fires Rocket Barrages at Israel After Deadly Israeli Airstrike in Beirut
JERUSALEM/BEIRUT, Nov 24– Hezbollah launched heavy rocket barrages at Israel on Sunday, following a powerful Israeli airstrike that killed at least 29 people in Beirut the day before. The Israeli military reported that homes near Tel Aviv had been destroyed or set on fire in the retaliatory rocket attacks.
In response, Israel struck Hezbollah-controlled areas in the southern suburbs of Beirut, which have faced intensified bombardment over the last two weeks. These military escalations have occurred amid ongoing U.S.-led efforts to broker a ceasefire. The situation remains tense as both sides continue to engage in heavy exchanges of fire.
